I think what Joey is saying here is that perhaps these things can be looked on as good because, as you just noted, "this is what brings wisdom".
I very much agree with your take on many non-dual teachers... always trying to transcend everything and using a lot of spiritual mumbo-jumbo to avoid and deny the realities of life. I do think Joey is not among them and I really like his books. It's not about getting rid of the pain, it's about lowering the suffering and being able to see the situation more clearly(which is often the same thing in my experience).
I appreciate your candor but, based on my experiences, I generally don't agree with the points you have made here. It seems heavily focused on other people with a strong "I know" mind and not very much focused on the self. Anyway, I'm not really looking to debate anything here... so I'll just wish you and everyone well.
